There was no place at the Wildey, St Michael Astro Turf for the ESFC Unity Stars to hide from the National Sports Council over the weekend in the Barbados Football Association’s Women’s Premier League.

NSC dished out a 7-0 drubbing that started ten minutes into the encounter and basically didn’t end until the final whistle.

With the NSC on the right side of the points table and Unity Stars languishing at the bottom, the result surprised no one with six different players getting their names on the scoresheet in a total NSC team performance.

Adrienne Forde scored in the tenth minute and this was followed by goals from Kimberley Ellis (46th), Ashanee Thompson (61st), Shontelle Small (65th & 90th), Tianna Hackett (71st, penalty) and Dedra Smith (93rd).

Kimberley Ellis got on the scoresheet in the 46th minute.

In another Premier League encounter played at the UWI Astro Turf, UWI Blackbirds edged Genesis 2-1 with Patrina Brathwaite and Annashime Springer scoring for the winners and Chazelle Cumberbatch responding for Genesis.
