Playing at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex, the lads from Martindale’s Road spared their opponents no mercy even though they were handicapped by having just seven players at their disposal.
At the end of the first half, St Michael’s led 4-0 and they ruthlessly pumped in another five goals in the second stanza without getting a response.

Cutting gave his side a 1-0 advantage as early as the 17th minute when he got onto the end of a long ball, raced into the 18-yard box before calmly beating Ellerslie custodian Terry Graham for goal number one.
Eriq Puckerin then doubled his side’s lead in the 28th minute, weaving his way into the box before burying his shot beyond goalkeeper Graham.
Already down 2-0, Ellerslie did themselves no favours when Graham spilled an easy take only for Tomar Haynes to capitalize on the rebound and add another goal to the St Michael’s’ tally in the 32nd.
One minute before half time in the 39th, Raheem Holligan got in on the action to add the fourth.
With nothing left for Ellerslie to do except defend at all costs in the second half, St Michael’s used this to their advantage well. They were quick on the flanks and national under-17 player Aluko Callender scored the fifth in the 53rd when he got onto the end of a break.
Cutting tucked in his second in the 56th minute and the sixth of the game thanks to a pass from Haynes before Nathan Highland added the seventh in the 64th.
With goals flowing, substitute Menelik Babb added his name to the scoresheet in the 78th minute and fittingly, Cutting completed his hat-trick in the 79th minute, to put an exclamation mark on the performance.
