The first-half was evenly contested and ended 0-0. However in the second half midfielder Janesh Jaunai sent a through ball from the left of the field to John who scored a spectacular goal when his right-footed effort flashed past Bay Primary goalkeeper Joshua Greaves.

Jaunai and John teamed up once again when Jaunai sent another through ball which went between the goalkeeper’s leg and John was inside the penalty area to tap the ball into the back of the nets.

With the two-goal advantage in the second-half Wesley Hall Juniors looked well on their way for a well deserved victory but Bay Primary then made a last-ditch effort to get back into the game.

Bay Primary striker Marlon Downie headed the ball outside the box and striker Amir Gustave ran on to it, took on Wesley Hall goalkeeper Kylan Browne and scored a well placed goal. But that was as far as they would get with their efforts before the final whistle blew.
