Mackeson Brittons Hill celebrated as though they had won the Digicel-sponsored Barbados Football Association’s Premier League title when they stunned Rendezvous 2-1 last night at the Wildey, St Michael AstroTurf.
This result has put the premiership at an interesting stage and at the same time allowed for a keen tussle as the two Christ Church teams, Brittons Hill and Rendezvous are now tied on 29 points. Meanwhile, Weymouth Wales are in third on 27 and Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme are fourth on 26.

Earlier in the evening Silver Sands got the better of Gall Hill 1-0 .
Brittons Hill’s victory came about when Curtis Odle took a shot from the left of the goal bars and was denied by Rendezvous goalkeeper Kenyan Lynch who went aerial and made a brilliant one-handed save but failed to recover and Terrence Coppin seized the moment to shake the nets in the 41st minute when he stood directly in front the goal bars and buried the ball past Gregory Goodridge and Lynch who managed to get back up but by then it was a little too late.

Brittons Hill definitely had the advantage leading into the second half and from the look of things Rendezvous coach Randolph Cox was not a happy man.
When the second half started Brittons Hill did not let up and continued where they left off by adding goal number two in the 70th minute thanks to a superb free kick which was well curled by Curtis Odle from 20-yards out and Antone Ellis did the rest by heading the ball into the back of the nets.
A couple minutes later in the 79th minute Keon Atkins managed to pull one back for Rendezvous when the ball was crossed from the left and Atkins got the ball past Brittons Hill’s goalkeeper Tennyson Mings who left his mark and got injured in the pursuit to deny Atkins.
Rendezvous, without the services of their top scorer in the league this year Miron Samuels, failed subsequently to equalize.
In the other game played Jamal Pinder of Silver Sands scored the lone goal of the match in the 11th minute to give his team victory over Gall Hill. Both teams are tied on ten points and could face possible relegation from the Premiership.
