The 2015 Digicel Premier League just got that more interesting Tuesday night when former champions Weymouth Wales joined newcomers Rendezvous at the top of the table with 26 points and separated only by a 25-20 goal difference in favour of Rendezvous.

Playing at the Wildey, St Michael Astro Turf, Wales earned themselves another three points when they brushed aside Pride of Gall Hill 3-0. In the other game Klaytons Kola Tonic Notre Dame won 2-0 against Silver Sands.

Wales went up 1-0 in the tenth minute of the featured game when a free kick was taken from the left of the field by Wales and defended by Gall Hill. However the ball landed on the right boot of midfielder Dwayne Peters who produced a stunning goal from about 23 yards out.

The men in green went into the second half with the upper hand which they increased in the 75th minute when national player Hadan Holligan received the ball which he controlled, eluded two defenders and placed it sweetly past Gall Hill goalkeeper Corey Bridgeman.

Gall Hill had some good chances to come from behind and surprise Wales especially Renaldo Marquez. He had a few good runs but was denied by Wales’ defenders every time he threatened.

Wales put icing on the cake when Romario Bryan saw an opportunity and took it with the defenders napping. Gall Hill under-estimated the little man whose powerfully struck shot curled past keeper Bridgeman who had no chance whatsoever of stopping the gem of a goal.

In the other game Notre Dame who were on ten points at the start are now on 13 and have moved into seventh position ahead of Solaris Pinelands who are on 11 points in eighth place.
