As the world waits eagerly for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the coveted trophy (inset) for which some of the best footballing nations will be competing has been making a global tour. Today it was the turn of Barbados to welcome the World Cup Trophy, along with a number of accompanying FIFA officials. The British Airways plane (at left) carrying trophy and officials touched down at the Grantley Adams International Airport early this morning and Minister of Sport Stephen Lashley and a local contingent were present to give the party a warm Barbadian greeting
